Long before Naval Air Station Jacksonville became one of the Navy’s premier aviation bases, the land at Black Point was home to one of Florida’s earliest flight schools. Beginning in 1916, student pilots trained there in Curtiss aircraft—including the legendary Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny.”
By the 1920s, as nearby LaVilla flourished as one of America’s great cultural neighborhoods, the Jenny had become one of the nation’s most recognizable airplanes. It introduced thousands of Americans to flight, inspired a generation of aviators, and famously carried pioneering pilot Bessie Coleman during her exhibition flying career.
Today, The Jenny carries that spirit of exploration into the kitchen.
Inspired by a journey across America, our menu blends the comfort food of Oklahoma, the seafood and Southern hospitality of Jacksonville’s First Coast, and the bright, Baja-inspired flavors of Southern California.
And the journey doesn’t end there.
After dinner, slip downstairs into The Ready Room, our intimate members-only speakeasy, or end the evening at The Apron, our private rooftop gathering space overlooking Downtown Jacksonville.
